HOW TO PORT BOOTIMG WITHOUT PC



HOW TO UNPACK & REPACK BOOT.IMG WITH MOBILE.
In this little tutorial on how to unpack boot image without pc, just know this: your base image is your stock rom boot.img likewise your port image is your custom rom boot.img
App require:
1. Es file explorer [playstore].

2. Unpack and repack boot [ https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzuXmWKNFqU6aWhVSnJyM2VKcGs/view?usp=drivesdk ].

3. Busybox pro v3.6 [google.com].
Procedure:
‪#‎busybox_pro‬
• Download and install busybox.
• Click on install at the botom left corner.
‪#‎Es‬ file explorer
• Open es file explorer.
• Goto sd card.
• Create a folder inside sdcard and name it "Boot"
Note: do not include ""
• Inside boot folder, create 4 folder namely (base,port,result,unpack).
• Copy stock boot image to base folder [/sdcard/boot/base/boot.img].
• Copy port boot image to port folder [/sdcard/boot/port/boot.img).
• Navigate to sdcard/boot/unpack
Inside unpack folder, create 2 folder and name it (1. Base, 2. Port)
‪#‎unpack‬ and repack tool
Open app (firstly you need to locate your base boot.img and also set it where you want it to unpack)
**1 Enter boot.img path.
Click on search
Navigate to /sdcard/boot/base/boot.img and click ok.
**2 Enter the image unpack path
Navigate to /sdcard/boot/unpack/base and click ok.
Then click on start box.
Now you have successfully unpack base boot.img 😉 time to unpack port boot.img 👌by just repeating step **1 step **2 and changing BASE to PORT
You can close and open unpack and repack tool if necessary.
***1 Enter boot.img path
Click on search box
Navigate to /sdcard/boot/port/boot.img and click ok
***2 Enter the image unpack path
Navigate to /sdcard/boot/unpack/port and click ok
Now you have successfully unpack port boot.img 😉
(Replace what you want to replace)
Next: How to repack ported boot image.
Close and open unpack and repack tool
Click on repack.
You get six empty box to be replenish.
1. Enter the cmdline.
cmdline.
2. Enter the kernel base.
10000000.
3. Enter the page size.
2048.
*1 Enter the kernel path.
sdcard/boot/unpack/base/boot.img-zimage
*2 Enter the ramdisk path.
sdcard/boot/unpack/port/boot.img-ramdisk.gz
*3 Enter the out image path.
sdcard/boot/result
Then click start to repack
(Throw back:
How to know your kernel base:
• Open es file explorer
• Navigate to unpack base boot image [sdcard/boot/unpack/base/boot.img-base] and click boot.img-base
• Open as es note editor
Copy the number inside, that is your kernel base
How to know your page size:
• Navigate to [sdcard/boot/unpack/base/boot.img-pagesize] and click boot.img-pagesize
• Open as es note editor
Copy the number inside, that is your page size)
Note 1: your kernel path is
sdcard/boot/unpack/base/boot.img-zimage
Note 2: your ramdisk path is
sdcard/boot/unpack/port/boot.img-ramdisk.gz
